Buy the STL or buy the printed part? How to decide

A lot of our customers own a printer. So which should you buy, the finished part or the print file?

Buy the STL if

  • You need a lot of the same part, like a holder for every truck in the fleet. One file covers every print for your own equipment.
  • You already have PETG on hand and a printer that runs it well.
  • You want it today, not after shipping.

Buy the printed part if

  • You need one or two. By the time you count filament, magnets and hardware, the finished part is often close in price.
  • The part needs magnets or inserts pressed in. Ours come ready to bolt or stick on.
  • You do not want to dial in settings. We already did, on the same part, many times over.
  • You want it in your farm colours or with your logo. That is a custom order.

Printing it yourself?

Use PETG, not PLA. PLA goes soft in a hot cab. Our files are sized for a standard 256 mm bed, so Bambu, Prusa and Creality machines all work.
